MHSU Micro-certificate Preview

Preview Workshop of Mental Health and Substance Use Micro-certificate

Do you struggle to effectively support clients dealing with mental health and substance use challenges?

The UBC Micro-certificate in Mental Health and Substance Use is a part-time, asynchronous, online program designed to provide learners with the foundational knowledge and core skills they need to effectively and ethically engage in frontline service provision to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges in multiple service contexts.

This recorded workshop offers a free preview of the teaching approach and content of the micro-certificate via a guided, interactive case study. It follows the same format as the monthly live virtual sessions you will receive when you join the full micro-certificate. Watch the preview and see if the content is the right fit for you, before enrolling in the program.

The session is facilitated by Jack York, a sessional lecturer and program coordinator for UBC’s School of Social Work, and an experienced mental health and substance use clinician, educator, and researcher.
