Positions: Assistant Professors (Tenure Track)

The School of Social Work (UBC-Vancouver) invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor positions to meet the current teaching needs of the School’s programs, beginning July 1, 2017.
Major selection criteria include demonstrated excellence in research and scholarly activities; ability and interest in high quality, innovative teaching and clear promise of excellence in teaching; and a capacity to establish effective relationships with the practice community. A Master’s degree in Social Work and PhD in either Social Work or related disciplines are required. Candidates are required to have a strong commitment to our School’s vision of social justice and ethics of social care; expertise in health, mental health, or other social care practice; and at least three years post-MSW (or post-BSW) practice experience.
The successful candidate for each position will be expected to maintain an active program of research, teaching, service and student supervision at the graduate (MSW, PhD) and undergraduate (BSW) levels.
