Tom Mutsuo Teranishi is one of the six recipients of the 2016 Courage To Come Back Awards, presented by Coast Mental Health. The award is presented to people who have overcome significant obstacles and given back to their communities.
A UBC School of Social Work alumnus, Teranishi started his long career in social work in 1968, and still volunteers to help others.
