Samantha Davis, MSW (she/her) completed her MSW at the University of Victoria with a research focus on community drug checking and addressing substance use stigma. She currently works as a researcher and social worker at a non-profit legal centre in B.C. Previously, she worked as a family law advocate assisting women and gender diverse clients who were leaving violence with family law and some immigrations matters. She provides training to non-profits and family law advocates across BC on family violence, working with lawyers, and family law issues. Samantha supervises up to two social work practicum students per semester who are interested in gaining front line experience in family law and family violence.

Her teaching interests include practical application of critical social work theories, creating collaborative learning environments, expanding our ideas of what it means to be a social worker, and preparing students for the realities of front line work.
