Kayla Kenney is a PhD student at the University of British Columbia. Their doctoral research focuses on social work practice with younger trans and gender diverse people in healthcare. As a practitioner, Kayla’s experience includes clinical, community, and management roles in non-profit and healthcare settings, with a focus on reproductive justice, adolescent health, and LGBTQ2S communities. They are interested in advancing equity in health and social care through social work practice, research, and education.
