At the core of our field education program are our dedicated field instructors, who provide teaching and feedback to their students through regularly scheduled supervision time.
Field instructors work with students to address any gaps in learning that may prevent students from functioning well in the practicum. We value and appreciate the integral role they play in the development and training of future social work professionals.
In turn, field instructors are able to further their own professional development. Field instructors’ supervision time can count towards CPD hours. The field education program offers seminars or workshops, which can also be used for CPD requirements.
In addition, current field instructors have the option of getting a UBC Library Card to access all UBC Library print and online resources.
