To commemorate Orange Shirt Day on September 30th many of us from the School of Social Work will be participating in an Intergenerational March on campus. We encourage you to join us in this important event. Everyone is welcome. The March is led by UBC Applied Science and Land and Food Systems. There are no fees or registration required.
For participants planning to join the Intergenerational March, our meeting point will be the Jack Bell Building at 11:30 AM. At 11:40 AM, we will proceed as a group to the amphitheater at the Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre. In coming together as a School, we can stand and walk in solidarity and support one another in remembering the experiences of Indigenous residential school survivors, their families, and communities.
