You are invited to THE DAY OF GROWTH, a student-led seminar designed to educate our community at the school of social work about topics not necessarily discussed in class. With the overarching theme of identity, you will hear from select members of the Immigrant, Racialized, and Disability Caucuses and a representative from the Indigenous Committee.

Many of the students sharing in Day of Growth speak from a place of experience — sharing small insights into what it means to identify as racialized, Indigenous, disabled, and immigrant. When listening, we kindly ask that you please keep in mind that one person does not represent all the complex and unique experiences held within a community. Moreover, we ask that you remain open, mindful, and respect opinions different from your own.
Please note that in addition to short breaks, there will also be content warnings before each presentation.
